To ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all participants, the following Code of Conduct applies to players, coaches, and spectators. By participating in or attending this event, you agree to uphold these guidelines

1. Respect for Officials

All referees, coaches, and players must be treated with respect at all times. Yelling at referees, players, or coaches is strictly prohibited. Any verbal abuse, intimidation, or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

2. Good Sportsmanship

All participants must display good sportsmanship on and off the court. Win or lose, players and coaches are expected to behave with integrity and fairness. Spectators should encourage and applaud good effort and play from both teams. 

3. Zero Tolerance for Violence

Physical altercations, aggressive behavior, or intentional harm to others will result in immediate ejection from the game or venue. This applies to players, coaches, and spectators alike. 

4. Teamwork and Positive Encouragement

Players are encouraged to support their teammates and demonstrate collaboration. Coaches are responsible for fostering a positive team environment, and spectators should offer encouragement without criticizing individual performances. 

5. Respect for the Venue and Equipment

All players, coaches, and spectators must treat the facilities, equipment, and other property with care. Vandalism or mistreatment of any property will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the tournament. 

6. Adherence to Tournament Rules

All participants must follow the rules of the game as outlined by the tournament organizers. Players and coaches must be familiar with and adhere to these rules. Spectators should support the enforcement of these rules by respecting officials’ decisions. 

7. Inclusive and Safe Environment

Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, ability, or background.  

8. Alcohol and Substance Use

Teams are strictly prohibited from using alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants during the tournament. Spectators should also be aware that these substances are not permitted on campus at Crandall University and the local High Schools. All participants are expected to behave responsibly and avoid disruptive conduct.

9. Consequences of Misconduct

Violations of this Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action, which may include removal from the game, disqualification from the tournament, or ejection from the venue, depending on the severity of the infraction.
